This is a visual tool intended to give you an idea of an electric car's range on a map. It's not a route planner!
We did some research and found that the actual driving distance between two places is typically about 120% of the straight line distance.
That means you can get a pretty good idea of how far you can go from simple range circles!
PURPLE shows how far you can go and get home again without needing to charge.
GREEN shows how far you can get from home on a single full battery.
RED shows how far you can go if you with one recharge en-route, maybe heading on a weekend away.
Then click to centre the map on your starting point. That's it!
We've prefilled the range with 200 miles. That's a mid-level range. Some examples include a VW ID3 Style (261 miles), a Nissan Leaf Acenta (168 miles), a Mini Electric (145 miles), a Citroen e-C4 (218 miles)
The WLTP range is available for every car on the market. See a selection here on GoEve.
Remember, range varies on hot and cold days, motorway or A-road. This tool gives an indication that's reasonably accurate up to moderate highway speed. If you're a fast highway driver, your range will drop; use a route planner for detail.
